THE DOCTOR'S DOCTOR
“Which orthodontists are being chosen by fellow dentists for their family's care?”
Asking this question of your dentist has always been one of the classic ways of determining where YOUR care should be provided. And… that's why we feel you should know that Dr. Lunsford has treated over 150 dentists and/or their families in his years of practicing in South Florida.
At a very early age, due to the influence of his father who was one of the first orthodontists in the state of Florida, Dr. Lunsford made a decision to become an orthodontist. Since that time years ago, he has never changed his direction and has followed the philosophy he learned from his father to make every effort to provide the best care possible for his patients.
Dr. Lunsford and his wife have two married daughters whom they see frequently. Time with family is very important to him. He keeps current with the very latest advances in the field of orthodontics through seminars, extensive reading and continuing education courses. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, the Florida Orthodontic Association, the South Florida Academy of Orthodontists and the Central Palm Beach Dental Society.
Dr. Lunsford's hobbies primarily revolve around the outdoors - combining family with fishing, traveling, camping and climbing mountains. He is a South Florida native and spends much time here: from the St. Johns River swamps, to the Everglades, to the Florida Keys.
Dr. Lunsford received his B.A. degree from Stetson University and his D.D.S. degree from University of Tennessee. Two years of orthodontic training and research followed at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. where he received his Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Orthodontics.
Dr. Lunsford recently commented, “Over 150 dentist families treated in our office - I feel this is of major assurance to myself and my patients that we are providing the quality of care that my colleagues want to see for themselves and their family members. More I am pleased, rather than proud, that the consistent quality care in our office is so widely known by those who are capable of judging the details of our results.”
BRACES are only the disposable tools to be discarded after treatment. ORTHODONTICS is the process in which the tools are used, and can vary in outcome depending on how effectively the orthodontist uses these tools. The drawing below describes this process in a humorous way, but the conclusion is a very important one.
