Braces-Friendly Recipe For Valentine’s Day

14 Feb 2017 | 0 Comments

Dr. Lunsford at Lunsford Orthodontics knows that celebrating holidays is a lot of fun for patients and with it being Valentine's Day today, some of our patients will be celebrating. With gifts of chocolates and candy being passed out for this day, those wearing braces have to be careful in which treats they indulge. Sticky and hard foods can damage brackets and wires!

If you are wearing braces and looking to enjoy Valentine’s Day treats, avoid sticky caramels and toffees as well as hard candies. Cake, plain chocolate, ice cream, and gelatin are safe for braces because they are soft.

As your Boynton Beach area orthodontist, we want you to both enjoy this month’s holiday as well as have a smooth course of treatment, so we have chosen a recipe that is safe for all our patients to enjoy for Valentine’s Day!
